“Reading a Stephanie Staab poem feels like swimming at night in a lake the exact temperature of your body. Even so far away from home, it’s like you are floating in yourself; it’s hard to imagine you were ever not. When it’s over, you’ll want to stay. You’ll want to swim in Stephanie’s poems forever.” -
Raphael Bob-Waksberg, creator of Bojack Horseman and author of Someone Who Will Love You In All Your Damaged Glory.
In her beautifully curated poetry collection, Stephanie Staab takes on personas from all walks of life: UFO-believers, tourists, travellers, and those who are content just where they are. Joint winner of Selcouth Station’s 2019 chapbook competition, Earthling paints stunningly vivid environments and characters; and gently invites us to take a look at the humanness of it all.
