His hands moved me like strings attached to a marionette deftly, as I danced for him my body lifted to each movement of his hands like a caress along every inch of me. I would feel him as I swung into a perfect pirouette, I the lithe tigress stalking in the high grass and he my Master. I bring to him my prey; audience's applause is what he craves I am nothing but a living doll, I weep in the dead of night alone in bed cradling broken and bloody feet imagining him beside me, tracing my outline - curves lost to a habit, a passion of dance, twisting my body in his fingers. Deep sighs of desire what I will never possess but oh, how I wish for deft strokes on bare skin, to come alive for him between the sheets as I do on polished floor, pristine form cut to his every desire - he tells me higher, I leap; he tells me lower, I dive... I would break my bones to conform – anything for him.
Note from the author: This is a collaboration in progress between myself, Kristin Garth and Justin Karcher. Each of us takes one character and writes from their point of view, which adds to the overall story and essentially becomes a play told through poetry. My character is an aspiring dancer who views Kristin’s character as a direct threat not only to her dancing career, but to the choreographer who they both fancy and who seems to like Kristin’s character more. When a dark wizard approaches me to express his appreciation and complements, it plants a seed in her mind of getting rid of her competition permanently. My character is inherently drawn to darkness which is another reason the wizard easily enchants her into accepting his proposal to turn against the competition, essentially shrinking Kristin’s character into a collectable doll to be kept in a dollhouse.
