Poetry: "What I Am Telling You" by Meghan Kemp-Gee

is that I will follow you for one last time but not another time into the worst trouble nobody else

knows, into lost-cause battle like the lost dog or mascot bear lumbering at your heels to the land of

your victory where you leave me lurking bashful, pink-faced, kicking marble floors outside your lovers’

rooms, lonely ends, the failure of our bodies, our agonies bought for last-minute, half-baked subplots,

hell and back while I’m still smiling at what I am telling you time and time again, singing how I will get

you back through time and time and names and time, the dizzying time spent by your side just means

that I will follow you for one last time but not another time.
